How to Unarchive Gmail?

All you need to do is locate the archived email from the All Mail list and move it to your inbox.

On PC 

  1. Open Gmail on your browser
  2. Go to All Mail. (Even if the email is not in your Inbox, it will be available on All Mail)

  3. Locate the mail you want to unarchive. (Try using the search box if you know who the mail is from)
  4. Then, right-click the target mail.
  5. Then, press Move to Inbox. 
    click on move to inbox

And you’re done.

iOS and Android

  1. Open the Gmail app on your phone.
  2. Click on the three-line icon. (top left corner)
  3. Click on All mail.
  4. Locate the archived mail and long-press the target email
  5. Then, click on the three dots on the screen (top right corner)
  6. Then click on Move to inbox

The emails you unarchive return to your inbox.

If they’re important to you, you can star the mail to easily locate them in the future. You need to click the star icon on the email to do so.
